Tennis Courts

Courts are generally available from late spring until the ground freezes.

During pool season, court access is through check in. Proceed to the gates at the end of the snack bar awning. There are also two separate paved paths to gates in the fence line inside the pool grounds.

During the offseason, and times when the pool is closed, the path to the tennis courts is outside the pool fence, to the right of the snack bar. Updates are often sent via the pool’s Operation & Weather Emergency Notification System.

When the pool is closed (offseason, early morning or after 9 pm) , a code is available to access the locked gate; please text Ted McCann at (202) 246-0910 at least 24 hours in advance for the code. Please make sure to securely lock the gate when you leave, even if you found it open to enter. Court use is for members only and their guests that are playing with them. No dogs are permitted on the tennis courts.

Courts 1 – 4

These courts are clay and not lighted. Trees were recently removed for more sunlight and improved drainage. Work in this area is still underway, please follow signage when walking down to the court entrance.

Clay court guidelines:

  • If the net is down, the court is closed. Do not put the net back up if you find it down.
  • Please brush your court and do the lines when you are finished playing. Brooms are located on the fence.
  • Please notify the Front Desk if repairs are needed.

Courts 5  and 6

To access, proceed through a separate gate entrance in the back left corner of the clay courts, and walk across the grass up the hill.

Walk around the inside fence edge to get to Courts 5 and 6. Do not cut across the red clay courts to get to the gate.

Youth tennis clinics are available during the season. Private lessons are also available by direct appointment. Details are sent via Member Message at the start of every season.
