Cheverly Swim and Racquet Club is searching for a few responsible individuals to join our team. This is seasonal – summer – employment from Memorial Day through Labor Day. We offer a flexible schedule, part-time or full-time.

Front Desk Staff
As part of the front desk team, you would be the first point of contact for members entering the pool. Some of the responsibilities include: checking members and guests into the pool, answering any general questions related to pool and loaning out various sports equipment to members.
The work is mostly sedentary, the shifts are approximately 5 hours and there is typically only one person working the front desk person at a time. We provide training and have a great group of people that work at the front desk.
The CSRC has a great team of seasoned lifeguards and looking to add to their roster for this season. As part of the Lifeguard Staff, you will help maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations of the pool and the surrounding area fairly and consistently in a professional and courteous manner. Help maintain facility cleanliness and participate in regular in-service trainings. You need to be able to work on weekends throughout the summer, including holiday weekends (Memorial Day through Labor Day).
You need to have the following certifications before your first scheduled work day in order to be a Lifeguard: current Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid Certificates. If you are not certified, you can still apply to be a lifeguard and the Pool Manager can discuss with you how to obtain the certifications. The minimum age to be a lifeguard is 16 years old by May 24, 2019.
Pool operators are an integral part of the pool and oversee the lifeguards when they are on duty. In addition, it is their responsibility to maintain the quality of the swimming pool water by testing and adjusting the chemistry to maintain standards, vacuum the pool on a regular basis and performs pump room duties, including backwash, handling and installation of chemicals as needed (such as chlorine and muriatic acid).
Pool operators are expected to have excellent customer service skills, establish and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, board members and the members of the pool. You must have a pool operator certification for this position.
The CSRC has top notch tennis courts and each year hires a few individuals to help maintain the court's condition, teach lessons and assist with tournaments, when needed. Candidates must be 14 years old, and experienced tennis players.
